Youth Making Ripples is now collaborating with The International SeaKeepers Society. The International SeaKeepers Society is a 501 (c) 3 organization that strives to increase current knowledge about the oceans, promote and facilitate scientific discovery and raise awareness about critical ocean issues. SeaKeepers works directly with the yachting community as an essential component and contributor to ocean research, education and conservation efforts.

This year SeaKeepers and Global Oceans are providing an educational day trip to Florida reefs onboard the yacht Defiance to the winners of the film “Making Ripples”, which highlights how high school students in south Florida are helping with local coral reef restoration efforts. SeaKeepers and Global Oceans have worked together over the last year to educate children about the marine environment, pollution and conservation, completing outreach trips from the Bahamas to Rhode Island.
